CASP AGM 2021

The Association will be holding an AGM on Thursday 25th November (7.00-8.00pm).

Due to the current circumstances, the meeting will be an on-line event. We know that this is far from ideal, as we know that many members prefer to meet in person, but unfortunately this cannot be helped during this challenging time. The Committee will continue to seek advice in relation to the careful management of Covid-19 and aim to hold a physical meeting as soon as the majority of members feel it is safe to do so..

IF ANY PERSON WISHES TO PUT THEMSELVES FORWARD FOR ELECTION ON THE NIGHT, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO. THE ASSOCIATION WILL BE LOOKING TO ELECT A CHAIR, VICE-CHAIR, TREASURER AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS.

If you are a Camden street property tenant or leaseholder, please attend this on-line event by accessing the below meeting link:

CASP is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Health & Wellbeing in Camden — Consultation

A message from Camden Council:

In Camden it remains an unacceptable truth that men and women born in the most affluent areas live 18 and 19 longer years longer in a healthy state than their counterparts in the most deprived areas. Together, we seek to reverse these inequalities and make Camden the very best place to start well, live well and age well.

Camden’s draft Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2021-30 six-week consultation opens on 1st November and will close on 13th December. We want to hear your views on our proposed approach to improve health and wellbeing. Whether you live, work or receive care in the borough, we want your voice to be at the heart of the new strategy.

To find out more and to share your views, please visit the consultation website:
Share Your Views On Joint Health And Wellbeing Strategy 2021-2030 – Commonplace

Please also promote the consultation with your communities and networks by sharing the website and this consultation leaflet.

If you have any questions or would like accessible versions of the strategy, please contact healthandwellbeingboard@camden.gov.uk or call 0207 974 5827.

The Ultra Low Emission Zone is expanding

Picture of Car Exhaust

If you own a car, you will be aware of the Ultra Low Emission Zone, a measure to reduce air pollution in central London by charging daily for driving a polluting vehicle inside the zone.

Before it was only within the Congestion Charging Zone (so only Holborn was inside the zone), but now it has been expanded out to the North Circular and the South Circular, including the whole of the Borough. So if you have an older car, you may need to start paying the new charge.

For more information, see the TfL website:

The Walk — Raising the profile of refugees

Little Amal is a three metre tall puppet, depicting a Syrian refugee, and since July she has been walking across Europe. The purpose is to raise awareness of the millions of refugees across the world. The last few days she has been in the UK, including in Camden.

While in London she visited a fair in Lewisham, St Paul’s Cathedral, Southbank, Somerset House, the Royal Opera House, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Trafalgar Square and had a birthday party at the Roundhouse.
