British Library Extension Consultation
The British Library is planning a significant extension, to be located between the existing Library and the Crick Institute.
If you live or work in Somers Town and will be affected by this, you can have your say. Just use the link provided in the website during June.
Greening Phoenix Road
Phoenix Road runs through the middle of Somers Town, connecting Euston Station and Saint Pancras Station, and running past the Crick Institute.
It is commonly used by people walking between the two stations, and will probably get busier after the upgrades to Euston Station.
It is fair to say that some parts of the route could do with a makeover – but what should they do? Have your say!
Camden “Streateries” – Have Your Say
In a bid to help businesses deal with COVID restrictions, Camden Council have created “Streateries”, where footpath and road space is being used for outdoor eating space.
Have you used one? Do you live near one? Tell Camden Council what you think – they really want to know!
Independent – End of the Line for King’s Cross?
In The Independent there is an article on the area between Grays Inn Road and King’s Cross Road, brought on by the plans to redevelop the site of the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital on Grays Inn Road, and also Belgrove House (across the road from King’s Cross Station).
This area has, until now, been a lot less affected by the redevelopment and gentrification that has happened in the rest of King’s Cross and Farringdon. The area’s quiet streets are well worth a stroll around.
