CASP AGM 2023

CAMDEN ASSOCIATION OF STREET PROPERTIES

The CASP AGM will take place on:

Monday 4th September 2023

Crowndale Centre, 218 Eversholt Street, Mornington Crescent, London NW1 1BD

(6.30-9.00pm)

Please note this will be an in-person meeting and will not be accessible remotely due to all Covid-19 restrictions now being lifted. Please see below for more details.

  • Election of new Committee / Association’s Annual Report
  • Camden’s Repair / Housing / Community Safety services
  • Fire Safety and LBC Street Properties

ELECTION PROCESS

The Association will be seeking election for the following positions: Chair, Vice Chairs (2), Treasurer & Committee Members. Pls see below for more details.

Camden Cllrs and Relevant Camden Council Officers have also been invited to attend the AGM.

BSL support & Refreshments will be available at the meeting (from 6.15pm)

Jewish Museum to close

The Jewish Museum London has announced that they will be leaving their premises in Camden at the end of July.

While they don’t have a new home at the moment, they will continue online and in temporary locations.

So I strongly recommend that people visit this very interesting museum at 129-131 Albert Street NW1 7NB (just off Parkway, in Camden Town).

HS2 Drop In Events

In July, HS2 will be holding a series of drop-in events to provide further information on what the pause in HS2 construction means for Camden.

The sessions will take place on:

  • Wednesday 5th July 1pm – 4pm at the Old Diorama Arts Centre
  • Thursday 6th July 4pm – 7pm at the Surma Centre
  • Tuesday 11th July 1pm – 4pm at the Old Diorama Arts Centre
  • Thursday 13th July for 4 hours 4pm – 7pm at the Surma Centre

Coronation events

There are many events occurring all over the country to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

Of course there is the Coronation ceremony itself, with the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, and processions in the Mall and Whitehall. This can be seen live, or in the comfort of your own home.

A few events in and around Camden include (many of these will need to book tickets):

HS2 in Euston: Update 21 February

Update from HS2:

We’re writing to update you on works taking place in Euston Approaches area.

Welfare office in the northern end of Camden Cutting worksite

We need to provide a welfare and office building at the northern end of our worksite for our team constructing the Euston Approaches tunnels. ‘Welfare’ includes bathrooms, changing rooms, a kitchen, and a medical room.

We need to install this building as close as possible to the tunnel entrance, so our teams working inside the tunnels can access it during breaks, accidents, and emergencies. 

This building will also include a small office for our lead tunnelling team who will monitor and oversee our day-to-day tunnelling operations.
