This year we have definitely had quite a summer. Love it or hate it, it has been a bit of a record breaker, and has been compared with the other notably hot summers of 2006 and 1976.

As always, try to be sensible:

• Stay in shade & out of the worst heat of the day as much as possible
• Drink plenty of water
• Use water sprays or damp cloths to help you stay cool
• Minimise direct sunlight into your home by drawing curtains or shutting blinds
