Historic venue Koko to re-open in spring

Historic venue KOKO, which was damaged by fire last year during its restoration, is due to re-open in Spring 2022.


This venue originally opened in 1900 as the Camden Theatre. It was a theatre and then a cinema until World War II. After the war, the BBC used it as a radio and recording studio until the 1970s.

It re-opened in 1977 as a music venue, the Music Machine, was later renamed the Camden Palace, and most recently called KOKO.
