2019 marks the centenary of social housing in Camden. Camden Council are looking for stories to celebrate. See the message below from the Housing News team
We want to build a picture of our social housing stock over the last 100 years and the people who call it home. We’re looking for little known facts, memories, mementos, photographs and real people who can tell Camden’s story from 1919 to 2019 – and we need your help to do it.
Tell us your story. Do you or someone you know have an amazing story that would help to bring the campaign to life? Does your estate or street property have an interesting history? Do you know any anecdotes or trivia about your home or the people who live/d there? Perhaps many generations of your family have lived in the same place, or you’re new to the area and it feels like home already. Whether you’ve lived in Camden for six months or six decades, we want to hear about your experience of living in social housing in Camden.
Send us your pictures. We are looking for photos that show Camden’s social homes over the last century and the people who live in them, so if you have photos that you’d be happy for us to use as part of the campaign we’d love to see them.
To nominate yourself or someone you know to be interviewed for the campaign, submit photos or find out more please email firstname.lastname@example.org and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have other ideas for how you’d like to contribute or get involved with the campaign.
We look forward to hearing from you.
